I have too many years hairdressing experience to let on!  All I will say is that my previous job roles have included being a college lecturer, a colour technician and I am currently employed by ghd as an account manager.  My career has led to me spending a great deal of time in some of the nicest salons in the UK and this experience has given me a really good idea of what works in salons today.  Therefore when we opened Fox & Co we had a very clear focus and knew exactly what we wanted to acheive - friendly but professional, exceptional standards of work but at affordable prices, a beautiful salon that was still inviting not intimidating.  We think that we have achieved this but we welcome your feedback.

As for my skills in the salon it would have to be cutting.  In my opinion you can never spend too much time on a haircut as unlike colouring and styling which can both be easily altered, once you've cut it off......!  I also love barbering and this was something that I specialised in early on in my career.

Between working for ghd and working in the salon I don't have much free time but what time I have is always spent with my children and our crazy dog Woody - preferably in a tent, in a field with a cold glass of white wine!

I have been working at Fox & Co for 5 years now and I still absolutely love it, just as much as the day I started!  I love running the salon on a day to day basis (I actually miss it when I'm away!) and I really enjoy being involved in the marketing side and social media.

Now for the important stuff - my hairdressing.  My practical skills and customer care ethic has enabled me to build a strong, loyal client base which is continually growing.  I particularly enjoy creative cutting and have loved the recent in house training courses that we have had.  I am constantly following trends within the industry and always keep up to date with the latest looks and techniques for both men and women.  I really love the challenge of a restyle!  As for colouring I find a full head of foils most therapeutic and love to see the clients transformation, as lets be honest if your hairs not feeling great, your not feeling great!

On a personal level I love nothing more than spending my time with my family and of course shopping with maybe a cocktail to follow!  Most of my free time is spent running around after my 7 year old son or crazy dog!

You may have noticed my name change as Alex and I have recently married so I am now Mrs Stott and couldn't be happier!

I've been at Fox and Co for over 2 years now and love being part of the team! I've been working in salons since I was 14 so I have plenty of experience!

My favourite skills to share with you are cutting and blowdrying as both allow me to be creative and develop something bespoke to each client. Making a client feel beautiful and confident is such an amazing feeling - such an achievement. I also love colouring and really enjoyed learning new techniques on a recent colouring course.

Outside of work I love spending time with my friends, family and 5 crazy cats!

Our Saturday Girl!

I love to help my Mum out in the salon on a Saturday.  I'm quite a chatty teenager so I really enjoy talking to our lovely clients.  I would like to be an actress when I leave 6th form so I'm currently looking at my university options.  I do have a flair for hairdressing and my speciality is definately ghd curling.  I curl my own hair all the time with the ghd Platinum iron or use the Classic Wave Wand for looser, soft waves.

My hobbies include Theatre Workshop and horse riding and I am a massive McFly fan!

Wish me luck with my A levels!

I have been working in the hairdressing industry for over twelve years with my experiences spanning from managing a salon to appearing on QVC!  I have worked for ghd for the last 9 years and my current position is Lead Creative Educator.  My expertise lie in blowdrying, styling and hair up and generally making people look and feel beautiful.  I am a vintage queen! I adore the 1930's, 40's and 50's and use retro references to create incredible hairups and finishes.  I love classic and glamorous hair but I am just as happy creating something completley diffferent at London Fashion Week. I'm really excited to be able to share my skills with the Fox & Co clients x
